Friends and Family Gather Round for Carolina & Kenan's Brilliant Botanical Wedding - #Couple

We all know that without our friends and family, we wouldn't be complete. On Friday 9th March, I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful couple - Carolina and Kenan, who spent their wedding day surrounded by those closest to them, it was heavenly!

Carolina and Kenan are my new #CoupleOfTheWeek, from today, we will be sharing the story of a new couple every Monday.

It was a jam packed day for this super-cute couple, they married at the Sheffield Town Hall and their wedding day really was like a fairytale! Following the main ceremony, the couple and their friends and family enjoyed a divine meal at The Botanist in Leopold Square before I transported them to Ladybower Reservoir for some photos in the great outdoors.

In the evening, the couple enjoyed their reception at the Harland Cafe. My favourite part of Carolina and Kenan's wedding was being able to photograph them at the Reservoir, this location was important to them because Kenan works in hustling city of Manchester whilst Carolina lives in Sheffield, so it was the perfect spot in-between the two!

The couple found love when they first met online and Kenan proposed in the incredible city of Rome! Their wedding day was full of fun, laughter and warm hearts.

Let's get to know Carolina and Kenan and more about their story:

Tell me about your wedding day if you've already had it, your fave thing on the day, what made it special?

Our favourite part of the day was the reception. It was wonderful to celebrate with friends and family. We were humbled by the feeling of joy and happiness in the room.

How did you meet?

In the wonderful yet scary world of internet dating.

What's your favourite thing to do together? ( Keep it PC please) ;)

Travelling, most definitely. We can't wait to jet off to South America :)

Favourite hobbies or fun facts?

  1. Caro has moved on to 'skilled' level in Scrabble thanks to Kenan.

  2. Kenan can speak a bit of Spanish thanks to Caro.

  3. Caro has become really lazy in the kitchen because Kenan has taken complete ownership since they moved in together.

This list could go on and on and on...

Your first date?

We went to the Tropical Butterfly House Wildlife And Falconry Centre in North Anston. Very educational - we learned that meerkats are really small!

Tell me about the proposal and/or wedding plans...

Kenan popped the question on a warm evening in Rome, right in front of the beautiful Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore. The square was all ours, no public to please. It was perfect!

Best holiday or adventure you've had together?

Rome! Of course :-)

What a beautiful couple with a gorgeous story! Come back next Monday to see our next #CoupleOfTheWeek and read another enchanting story!
