Heather and Jamie’s Wonderful Wedding makes for a Good Friday!
Happy Easter Weekend, the bank holiday might nearly be over but we’ve got an awesome #CoupleOfTheWeek for you as we hop into April. We hope that you’ve had a very chocolatey weekend spending time with your friends and family. The weekend got off to a great start for me as I enjoyed the bliss of photographing the lovely Heather and Jamie Robinson at their delightful wedding on 30th March - it certainly was a Good Friday!
The couple married at the gracefully pretty Underbank Chapel in Stannington, Heather was pleased to return there after being Christened at the chapel and her family are local to the area, a special ceremony was beautifully delivered for the couple and their gorgeous guests. The elegant bride had fun getting ready at her Dad’s house whilst Jamie left his and Heather’s house looking well-groomed and dapper! They enjoyed being transported to the Mercure St. Paul’s Hotel located in Sheffield in a magnificent Mercedes after the ceremony.
Guests enjoyed dancing the night away at the reception, with the couple’s first dance being to Shania Twain. Everything was very well thought-out, it was clear that the couple had carefully planned every little detail! Everyone including me had a blast and the whole day was amazing from start to finish. Heather and Jamie have been together for years’, it was certainly the icing on the cake to see them finally tie the knot so splendidly.
The future is going to be very bright for these childhood sweethearts, they’re a barrel of laughs to hang out with. We even had a ride on the dodgems before their wedding reception, bouncing and bumping into each other - it was great fun!
Prior to the wedding, the couple had their engagement shoot on a quirky boat located in Rother Valley Country Park - it was ferry cute!
We also had a videographer with us on the day, so watch out for a special video coming soon. With thousands of photos to edit, the couple will enjoy looking back on this memorable day for the rest of their years together. Let’s learn some more about the wonderful Heather and Jamie as they tell their egg-ceptional story:
Tell me about your wedding day if you've already had it, your fave thing on the day, what made it special?
Our wedding day was amazing! The best part was going on the dodgems in-between the meal and the reception. We're pleased to say everything went exactly as planned!
How did you meet?
We met eleven years ago as teenagers. Jamie thought I was someone else at first, it was love at first sight and I knew from the day I met him I would marry him!
What's your favourite thing to do together? (Keep it PC please) ;)
Eat food! We always eat out for food!
Favourite hobbies or fun facts?
Fun facts - The first time Jamie met my dad, he was signing the lease to live with me!
Hobbies - We love to eat and relax!
Your first date?
When I was fifteen, Jamie picked me up after he finished work! He pulled up in a car before we went out and I thought 'oh lord!' He then pulled out a huge chocolate brownie for me! Knew he was the one from there!
Tell me about your proposal and/or wedding plans...
Well... Jamie had been away for a week and he came back just after their anniversary. The couple had planned a last minute dinner and it was cancelled as Heather didn't fancy going out, she was sat in her PJs watching CSI when he popped the question!
Best holiday or adventure you've had together?
We have had many adventures together! Our best holiday was in Turkey - we went scuba diving, quad biking and ate some amazing food! We also crashed into a Turkish car on a quad bike and quickly drove off :/!
Anything else you want to tell us?
We are best friends and planning the wedding together was a great experience! It wasn't because I wanted it but asking Jamie what he thought and what he wanted on the day made it extra special!
Come back next Monday for another #CoupleOfTheWeek - showcasing a selection of photos of the couple themselves from weddings, couple shoots and engagement shoots!
