It's been a jam packed weekend for the Nelly Naylor Photography Team, we had the joy of photographing Emer and David's fanciful yellow-themed wedding. After David has spent over a year renovating their house (which looks incredible), it was clear the couple were ready to let their hair down and enjoy what was an unbelievable wedding in the sun last Saturday.
They married in the stately Sledmere House, a charming venue located in East Yorkshire which has been welcoming visitors for over two hundred years. It's set in the picturesque Yorkshire countryside and on the day, we were lucky enough to appreciate the fantastic walled gardens and spectacular grounds as the couple had hired the venue for an extra hour, especially for photographs - what a luxury!
It was a huge build up to the couple's big day with David getting ready at the The Triton Inn located next door to Sledmere house, whilst Emer enjoyed making those last minute preparations at home - packed with eight bridesmaids, three dogs, one cat, two little ones, family, flowers and a slightly late wedding dress. I enjoyed dog walking with the couple and capturing some last-minute photos before the ceremony too. Emer also travelled to the venue in style and spectacularly lost her veil on the way whilst in an open top car - priceless!
Rest assured, everything was ready in-time and the entire day was spectacular. The ceremony took place in a luscious Library Room, filled with the couple's friends and family.
It was lovely to see everyone coming together to make the day one to remember, with lots of delicious home-cooked contributions to the buffet and all of the guests had a wonderful time. We also had a golden hour during the evening whilst the reception was taking place - perfect for sweet sunset photos.
